WRKC Spirit and Intent
As we take a short mid-summer break after this race it is a good chance for all of us to reflect on what the Waterloo Regional Kart Club has aspired to be since it’s inception. The objectives of the WRKC are to promote 4-cycle kart racing in Ontario and to minimize the cost of the sport. Karting is a sport that is designed for the fun and enjoyment of all competitors, and their families. Being a club member and participating in club events brings with it the obligation to observe the basic foundations of our Spirit and Intent.
This obligation includes having knowledge of the WRKC regulations, acknowledgement of the need to adhere to the regulations for the safety and interest of all competitors, officials, and board members. The club requires members to adhere to the policies regarding social media, blogging, and internet guidelines for Participants, and adhere to a zero tolerance for physical and verbal abuse. The zero tolerance policy can be summarized as follows:
Our mission is to provide a safe, fair, positive and respectful environment for all participants.
All club events must be free of negative factors such as abuse, discrimination, intimidation, hateful words and deeds, and physical violence of any form.
We hope all our members enjoy some all important family time during our summer break, and look forward to seeing everyone back at the track in August.
Annual Waiver
All personnel (Drivers and Crew) must complete the mandatory online waiver to be permitted to be on track, in the grid or at the scale areas – penalties may apply for non-compliance.
