UPDATE:The Countdown to Racing is On
The first month of 2018 is already behind us and a new race season is not far away. We held our first monthly board meeting with our newly elected Directors and are busy preparing for the upcoming season. Our first order of business was to appoint a Club President and Vice President for the 2018 season.
Our 2018 Club President is Jake Collison and he will be supported by 2 Vice Presidents, Andrew Tarr and Jeff Smith. Thanks to all of these gentlemen for stepping up and putting in their names for these critical roles. There are numerous volunteer jobs that we will be looking to members to assist with and these will be posted in the coming weeks.
WRKC Annual Swap Meet and Trade Show – Feb 24th 2018, at the Rockton Fairgrounds. See the attached flyer for more information and contacts….reserve your table space with Todd Alger. Member registrations will also be accepted from 9am until noon and your last chance to guarantee your last years kart number.
The 2018 Sponsorship package is available and we have have now filled all of our class sponsors. Thanks to The Massage Pro and Jelley & Sons for quickly filling those Sponsorship openings! We are still looking to fill all race days with returning or new Sponsors. Please contact Christine Dryden if you have any interested Sponsors. Please refer to the Schedule tab on the website to see all available race dates. We will be filling in the sponsor names to the schedule as they are confirmed.
The 2018 printable Race Schedule is now available.
WRKC 2018 Membership Package is also now available in the attached link and also under the Forms tab of the Document section of this site. Previous kart numbers will be held until Feb 24th (Flea Market) and then assigned on a first received basis. We cannot accept these registrations online (sorry) as we require original copies with signatures on file for Insurance purposes. If you cannot attend the swap meet, they can be mailed to the address on the bottom of the Membership Form page (2nd page in package).
We will again be returning to Motorama at the Toronto International Centre March 9th thru 11th. Please contact Steve Adams if you are interested in covering a shift at our booth for Motorama weekend.
New to Karting ? – We advise all interested new racers to join us at the Flea Market on Feb 24th where you can meet members of the WRKC club that can answer all your questions about racing with this club – ages 7 and up. The Driver training day at the end of April will be the next great opportunity and we again hope to have a limited number of karts and equipment available to try for new potential members….stay tuned to the website for more details.
