Race Report – Race #2, May 12th
The cool wet weather first thing in the morning wasn’t enough to turn away a large number of WRKC racers and their dedicated supporters for scheduled race #2 this past Saturday with a strong attendance mostly in rain gear .Shortly after practice sessions the drizzle and light showers had ended and everyone was able to switch back to dry set ups . The Cadet class was exciting throughout the heat races but it was Carson McFarlane taking the win over last week’s winner Carson Campbell . Novice was extremely competitive throughout the day but it was Logan Prince taking the feature win. Junior lite had another great turn out of young racers for all three races with Tenley Jackson taking the win followed by closely behind by Joey Woolsey . Austin Bisschop simply dominated the day with both heat races and the feature win. The Masters group continues to have some of the most competitive racing of the day with Paul Harrison taking the feature win over Brian Wilkinson who had been the guy to beat most of the day. WRKC club has the long weekend off to spend with their families and returns to racing on Saturday May 26th for race #3 so come on out and be part of this family oriented organization and fun .
